PUBLIC DEBATE ON PROJECT 15.2.1.046, ROBG - 29 "EASYGUIDE - INTERACTIVE MOBILE APPLICATION FOR PROMOTING THE HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE IN THE REGION OF CALARASI AND SILISTRA"

On August 23, 2018, at 09:00 in the Danube Hotel in Silistra (1, Svoboda Sq.) a public debate took place in connection with the project: 15.2.1.046, ROBG - 29 "EasyGuide - interactive mobile application for the promotion of the historical and cultural heritage in the region of Calarasi and Silistra".
The event was attended by Dr Miroslav Todorov, Deputy Mayor of Finance and Economy, Eng. Tihomir Borachev, Deputy Mayor of Territory Spatial Development, journalists, the project implementation team from Silistra Municipality and the Lower Danube Museum, Calarasi, citizens and employees from the Municipal administration.
The Director of the Lower Danube Museum, Calarasi, Mr. Valentin Parnik, presented the sites on the Romanian side and their significance. The project manager Mrs. Nikoleta Decheva presented the sites within Silistra municipality, including brief information about them.
After the sites were presented by both partners, journalists and citizens made suggestions for adding new sites on the Bulgarian side.
The project "EasyGuide - interactive mobile application for the promotion of the historical and cultural heritage in the region of Calarasi and Silistra" is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Program, Contract No. 15.2.1.046, ROBG - 29, with lead Partner Silistra Municipality and project partner Lower Danube Museum, Calarasi. The total cost of the project is EUR 927 792.47, of which EUR 788 623.60 is co-financing from the ERDF, EUR 120 613.02 is national co-financing, EUR 15 352.83 is own contribution from Silistra Municipality and EUR 3 203.02 is a contribution from the Lower Danube museum.
The deadline for the implementation of the project is March 26, 2019.
The project aims to improve the conservation and sustainable use of natural heritage, resources and cultural heritage.
